I'm gonna use this opportunity to ask few more questions: You and another user mentioned an 'archive' function. Anyways, now that I reinstalled youtube-dl, the mp4 files are being downloaded with names like eI58urv9Hp4Ru-5P.mp4, which I presume are their normal filenames that Twitter uses. I always use the original filename whenever possible, so I wouldn't do that. I am using for my filenames, but I'm not sure what you mean by letting youtube-dl produce its own filenames.

I have installed youtube-dl using the command you specified (so now I have youtube-dl installed in four separate places, one for gallery-dl, one so it can use ffmpeg, one for youtube-dl-gui and one for tartube. Given the last two sections of the list, I think the problem might be with youtube-dl rather than ffmpeg. This is the log it gave me after I did what you said.
